Cultural and historical events announced in Italy

The Fondazione Luigi Bon is continuing its ‘Overture’ event cycle to prepare for the 2026/2027 season. The program includes a chamber music performance by Trio Vega on October 24 at the Teatro Luigi Bon, featuring works by Beethoven and Dvořák. Additionally, on October 28, the Teatro Paolo Maurensig will host ‘RiconoScienza,’ a presentation by nanomedicine pioneer Mauro Ferrari and singer-songwriter Piero Sidoti that blends scientific research with music and storytelling.

Separately, Fondazione FS Italiane has announced extraordinary openings for the historic waiting room of the Taormina – Giardini station on October 24 and 25. The station, which dates back to a 1925 project, features Arab-Norman architectural influences, Liberty-style wrought iron, and original 19th-century wooden furnishings. Visitors must book in advance via Vivaticket.
