Bródy Sándor Library hosts diverse cultural programs in Eger

The Bródy Sándor Library in Eger has announced a series of cultural events for the final week of October. The program includes a book presentation by literary historian Dr. László József Lisztóczky regarding István Elbe’s work on Lajos Kossuth’s library, featuring rare volumes and personal entries from Kossuth’s period of emigration.

Other scheduled activities include children’s storytelling and music sessions through the Ciróka program, as well as a Japanese Club meeting focused on Japanese sports culture led by Beáta Farkas.

Additionally, the library is co-organizing the Géza Gárdonyi Memorial Day with the Dobó István Castle Museum on October 29. This event will feature a wreath-laying ceremony at Gárdonyi’s grave in Eger Castle and the opening of an exhibition titled ‘From the Vígszínház Payment Book to Rembrandt’ from the Bródy-Hunyady collection.
