Cultural and historical events scheduled across Portugal

The municipality of Castelo de Paiva has announced a series of cultural, musical, and sporting initiatives running from late October through mid-November. Key events include a literary presentation of ‘Quando Nasce Uma Mãe’ on October 24, a performance by the Coro Litúrgico de Oliveira de Azeméis, and a continuous singing masterclass at the Academia de Música de Castelo de Paiva. Other scheduled activities include the Rampa de Santo Adrião sporting event, a musical awareness session for families in Fornos, and the traditional Castelo de Paiva Agricultural Fair on October 25.

In Palmela, the municipal council is organizing a specialized course on October 24 and 25 focused on the medieval history of Coimbra during the 12th century. Directed by Professor Luísa Trindade of the University of Coimbra, the program includes theoretical sessions at the Palmela Municipal Library covering military, religious, and civil structures. The course concludes with a study visit to Coimbra to observe the historical sites discussed during the lectures.
