Cultural and historical events scheduled in Gomadingen and Göttingen

Several cultural and historical events are scheduled in Germany for the weekend of September 26–27, 2026.

In Gomadingen, the community will host the opening of a new Roman hiking trail on Sunday, September 27. The trail was developed to make the local Roman fort, which was found to be larger and more significant than previously thought following a 2008 geomagnetic study, accessible to the public. The event includes a guided walk led by Klaus Besch and food provided by the Albverein Gomadingen.

In Göttingen, the weekend features historical tours and celebrations. Scheduled activities include tours of the Georg-August University and walks around the Gänseliesel area to explore the old town's architecture and landmarks. The weekend will culminate in a double anniversary celebration centered around the Gänseliesel festival on Sunday.
