Cultural and literary festivals launch in Prato and Ripabottoni

Various cultural and literary initiatives are taking place across Italy. In Prato, the provincial library system is launching the twentieth edition of ‘Un Autunno da sfogliare’ from October 1 to January 4. Supported by the Tuscany Region, the program features over 220 free events for families and children, including workshops, editorial presentations, and exhibitions. This year’s edition includes celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Collodi’s birth and offers inclusive programming such as readings in Italian Sign Language (LIS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication at the Centro Lodi library.

In Ripabottoni, the ‘Un Palazzo di libri’ literary series continues at Palazzo Cappuccilli. The upcoming session features author Maria Assunta Prezioso, who will discuss her novel ‘Segovia e gli altri’. Published by Volturnia Edizioni, the book explores the history of a Southern Italian family during World War II, blending personal memory with historical reconstruction. The series aims to utilize the recently renovated Palazzo Cappuccilli as a permanent space for cultural engagement and social reflection.
