Cultural and natural heritage sites highlighted in Vietnam

Vietnam's cultural and natural landscapes continue to draw interest through historical and ecological significance. In the Coc Ly region, ancient forest ecosystems feature massive, centuries-old trees that grow atop steep limestone cliffs along the Chay River. These trees serve as a natural barrier against erosion and storms for local H’Mong and Dao communities.

In the Yen Tu area, the landscape holds deep spiritual importance as the birthplace of the Truc Lam Zen School. Founded by King Tran Nhan Tong, the school emphasizes a philosophy of integrating spiritual practice with worldly life. The Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac complex has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, honoring both its architectural value and its enduring spiritual legacy.
