Cultural and natural landmarks across Mexico

Mexico offers diverse cultural and natural destinations across its northern and southern regions. In Chiapas, the Arco del Tiempo, a natural monument approximately 200 meters high and 80 million years old, is located within the Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve. Due to the river levels in the La Venta Canyon, access is best managed through official expeditions between November and June.

In the north, Mier, Tamaulipas, serves as a historic border town near the Texas frontier. Founded in 1753, the town is noted for its colonial architecture, such as the Parroquia de la Purísima Concepción, and traditional northern cuisine, including machaca with egg and handmade flour tortillas.

Sonora features the Yaqui town of Cócorit, located near Ciudad Obregón. The community is known for its unique public art, including carved tree trunks and murals, as well as its deep indigenous roots and the Museum of the Yaquis.
