Cultural and social facilities reopen in Slovenia
The Narodni dom in Novo mesto, Slovenia’s oldest national hall and a cultural monument of national importance, is set to reopen on September 29 following a comprehensive renovation. The project, costing approximately four million euros, included 2.85 million euros in contributions from the European Regional Development Fund. The restoration focused on preserving the building’s authenticity, including returning its original two-tone facade appearance and improving accessibility with a new elevator and entrance.
In Moravče, the Dom Lilija facility has officially opened as a new unit of the Dom upokojencev Domžale. The facility provides 78 permanent beds, nine temporary care spots, and six day-center positions. Notably, eighteen beds on the ground floor are dedicated to residents with dementia, featuring direct access to a protected garden. The first residents are expected to move in this October.
