Cultural and social figures honored in Italy

Journalist Tommaso Cerno, director of Il Giornale, will conclude the fifth edition of the ‘Communitas Cogitationis’ cultural review in Mosciano Sant’Angelo. On October 30, Cerno will present his book, “Le ragioni di Giuda. Quando il tradimento ideologico diventa un atto di libertà,” in a dialogue with journalist Antonio D’Amore. The book explores the concept of betrayal through philosophy, theology, and politics, examining it as a fundamental human gesture related to freedom and dissent.

In Puglia, the sudden passing of Annibale D’Elia has drawn widespread condolences. D’Elia was recognized as a significant innovator in social and cultural policies, notably for his work with the ‘Bollenti Spiriti’ initiative alongside Guglielmo Minervini. As the newly appointed head of the Puglia Region’s Culture Department, D’Elia had recently been working on future cultural policies for the region.
