Cultural and social initiatives announced in Hillegom and Hoorn

The Galerie/ Kunstuitleen Bollenstreek in Hillegom has announced its new cultural season, featuring art lectures and courses. The schedule includes a two-day abstract art course led by Marijke Bannink in September, a lecture on Dutch architectural history by Neline Veldman on September 18, and a cultural-historical lecture on East German art by Kees Noordermeer on October 9.

In Hoorn, three winners have been selected for the 'Hoorn 2040 – Het sociaalste idee van Hoorn' initiative. The winning projects, which received financial support to foster social connection, are Het Foreestenhuis, which facilitates meetings between newcomers and locals; Hoorn Ontmoet, which uses mobile community outreach; and CleanUp Hoorn, which focuses on litter prevention and environmental awareness.
