Friuli Doc festival opens in Udine despite inclement weather

The 32nd edition of Friuli Doc has launched in Udine, spanning four days until September 13. Despite heavy rain forcing a change in venue for the opening ceremony to Sala Ajace, the event features over 100 stands and 33,000 square meters of exhibition space showcasing regional enogastronomy, culture, and music. To accommodate visitors, 27 extraordinary trains have been added to the rail service.

Other regional cultural and community events are underway across Italy. In Cuneo, the fourth Festival Art. 27-Expo is highlighting the prison economy through various cooperatives and exhibitions. In Alba, the city is hosting sports and mobility events for European Sustainable Mobility Week, while the local political party Azione has launched a neighborhood outreach initiative. Additionally, the Museum of Sacred Art and Culture in Romano di Lombardia is celebrating its 20th anniversary with musical tributes.
