Cultural and traditional knowledge gatherings announced in Mexico

Various regions in Mexico are preparing for events focused on preserving and promoting traditional cultural heritage. In Querétaro, seven 'Pueblos Mágicos' will participate in the National Encounter of Pueblos Mágicos in Tampico, Tamaulipas, from November 26 to 29, 2026. The delegation aims to showcase the diversity of its four tourism regions—Sierra Gorda, Semidesert, Creative Metropolis, and Southern Forests and Fields—through gastronomy, crafts, and ancestral medicine.

In Oaxaca, the town of Capulálpam de Méndez will host 'Por el Gusto de Sahumar 2026' on November 7 and 8. Organized by Ethnos Kurativa Oaxaca, the event will bring together traditional healers, midwives, herbalists, and artisans. The gathering includes workshops, ceremonial walks, and spaces dedicated to traditional medicine and organic products to strengthen the cultural identity of the region.
