Cultural and youth achievements celebrated in Vulcan and Cluj-Napoca

In Vulcan, local authorities held a ceremony to honor young residents for their achievements in education, sports, and culture. During the event, held at the local council meeting hall, Mayor Cristian Merișanu and other officials presented diplomas, medals, and cash prizes to students and athletes who performed well in school olympiads and national or international competitions.

In Cluj-Napoca, the fourth edition of the Murals of Youth international mural art competition is scheduled for August 27–31, 2026. Organized by Comunitatea 156 under the theme ‘TRADIȚII’, the festival invites high school students to reinterpret Romanian folklore and traditional crafts through contemporary street art. The event includes the creation of 10 murals, urban furniture design contests, and a collaborative asphalt drawing of Brâncuși’s ‘Infinite Column’ as a tribute to the artist.
