Cultural anniversaries celebrated in Neuhausen and Bad Liebenstein

Various cultural celebrations are taking place in Germany to mark significant anniversaries. In Neuhausen, the Musikverein is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a picnic concert in the park of St. Sebastian Church. The festivities included historical tours of the Amtshaus bei der Germania, where architects Florian and Herbert Jost provided insights into the building's history and its connection to the music association.

In Bad Liebenstein, the 160th coronation anniversary of Duke Georg II is being commemorated with a large-scale coffee table event in the Schlosspark Altenstein on September 20, 2026. Organized by Bad Liebenstein GmbH, the event invites the public to bring their own dishes to participate in a massive semi-circular table setup. A parallel event will also be held in the city center of Meiningen. The celebration is expected to feature historical reenactments, including appearances by figures representing the Duke and Helene, Freifrau von Heldburg.
