Cultural anniversaries celebrated in Portugal

Two musical institutions in Portugal are marking significant anniversaries with commemorative events on Saturday, October 24.

The Banda Marcial de Fermentelos, located in the Águeda municipality, celebrates 158 years of history. The program includes a flag-raising ceremony, a pilgrimage to the Fermentelos Parish Cemetery to honor deceased members, and a thanksgiving mass at the Matriz Church. The celebrations will culminate in an anniversary concert at the band's social headquarters.

In Paços de Ferreira, the Orfeão de Paços de Ferreira marks its 42nd anniversary. A choral concert is scheduled for 21:00 at the Municipal Library Auditorium, featuring guest participation from the Orfeão de Paredes to promote local choral music and culture.
