Cultural appointments announced for 2027 Holy Week in Seville and San Roque

Enrique Barrero Rodríguez has been designated as the herald for the 2027 Holy Week in Seville. A professor of Commercial Law at the University of Seville and an accomplished poet, Barrero has published numerous works, many of which focus on brotherhood themes. His appointment will be officially marked by an event at the Teatro de la Maestranza on March 14.

In San Roque, painter José Tomás Pérez Indiano has been selected to create the official poster for the 2027 Holy Week. The Extremaduran artist, known for his bullfighting and religious posters, will present his work on February 7 at the Edificio Alcalde Fernando Palma. His style is noted for its color and influence from Spanish masters.
