Cultural arts projects announced in Guimarães, Vila Real, and Estarreja

Portugal is hosting several cultural initiatives focused on community engagement and public art. The project ARRAIAL, created by Outra Voz, will be presented in Guimarães at Teatro Jordão on September 20 and in Vila Real at Casa de Mateus on October 3. The performance uses traditional musical heritage to create new collective compositions through music and dance, involving the Academia de Bailado de Guimarães and the Sociedade Musical de Pevidém.

In Estarreja, the ESTAU festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with a multidisciplinary program running from September 12 to 20, 2026. The event features mural painting, music, exhibitions, and community participation. The festival's route includes approximately 100 pieces of art, such as murals and installations, created by 54 artists from Portugal and abroad, including contributors from Brazil, Uruguay, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
