Cultural autumn festivals held in Scala and Montemarciano

Various local cultural events are taking place across Italy this autumn. In Scala, located on the Amalfi Coast, the 49th edition of the Festa della Castagna (Chestnut Festival) concludes on October 17 and 18, 2026. Organized by the Associazione Scala, Città del Castagno in collaboration with the municipality, the festival features chestnut tastings, traditional music, and local games such as the Corsa degli Asini. The event also includes a fundraiser for the Associazione Stella Costa d’Amalfi to support research into rare genetic diseases.

In Montemarciano, the Giornate FAI d’Autunno recently drew significant interest. The event included a historical lecture by Giorgio Meletti and the extraordinary opening of Villa Cosmelli Marotti. Guided by local students, approximately 420 visitors toured the late 19th-century country villa and its botanical gardens over the course of the weekend.
