Several cultural awards and selection processes have been launched in France. The Prix du Public 2026-2027 will feature a selection of six novels, six comic books, and six animated films. The selection, which includes both classic and recent works, will be unveiled on November 3 at the Châteaubriant Media Library. Voting for this award is open to the public through the intercommunal public reading network until June 8, 2027.

Additionally, the Prix Landerneau BD 2026 has announced its ten shortlisted comic book albums. Presided over by Florence Cestac and Michel-Édouard Leclerc, the jury consists of ten booksellers from E. Leclerc cultural spaces. The award aims to recognize a Francophone album published since the beginning of the year that possesses a unique style and subject matter. The winner will be announced on November 17, 2026, and will receive a 6,000 euro prize along with a national promotional campaign.
