Cultural celebrations highlight Senegalese heritage and Dinan fashion in France
The third edition of the Patrimoine Gala took place in Paris and Montreuil from September 30 to October 10, 2026, celebrating Senegalese cultural heritage. Under the theme ‘Nagn Déllu Saaraba’, the event showcased traditional hairstyles, costumes, and historical figures to connect the diaspora with its roots. The festivities included a meeting at UNESCO headquarters regarding the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, involving UNESCO Director-General Khaled El Enany and Senegalese Minister of Youth and Sports Djirèye Clotilde Coly.
In Dinan, the International Festival of Fashion Designers celebrated its 30th anniversary from October 9 to 11, 2026. Founded by Dominique Damien-Réhel, the festival focuses on discovering new talent and professionalizing emerging creators. This milestone edition featured honorary presidencies from Maison Pierre Cardin, represented by Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin, and the couture house On Aura Tout Vu, led by artistic directors Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov.
