Cultural celebrations in Chile and defense exercises in Cuba

In Chile, students at the Instituto Psicopedagógico held a 2026 Folkloric Gala to conclude the Month of the Homeland. The event featured traditional dances from various regions of the country. Director Miriam Cortes noted that the school implemented audio adjustments to ensure the participation of students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), emphasizing an inclusive approach to the festivities.

In Cuba, residents of the Sierra Caballos defense zone in Isla de la Juventud conducted combat training exercises to mark National Defense Day. The activities included ambush simulations, fire extinguishing drills, and food production exercises. Additionally, residents practiced alternative water distribution methods, such as using horse-drawn carts and bicycles, to ensure supply to vulnerable populations during exceptional situations.
