Various cultural and craft events are scheduled for October 2026 in Austria and Germany.

In Bad Goisern, Austria, the Hand.Werk. Haus Salzkammergut will host the “Art of Turning” symposium from October 9 to 11. The event brings together international and regional master woodturners, including Alain Mailland from France, Marco Bellini from Italy, and Stephan Feichtinger from Austria. The symposium explores woodturning as a cultural principle, featuring live demonstrations, design objects, and related crafts such as ceramics and instrument making.

In Augsburg, Germany, the Gaswerk area in Oberhausen will host open ateliers on October 17 and 18. More than 100 studios will offer insights into various artistic disciplines, including painting, photography, urban art, and sculpture. The program includes museum tours, historical walks, and climbs to the top of the 84-meter-high gas kettle.
