Cultural developments in Argentina: New theater in Pergamino and ballet in Mar del Plata

The Teatro San Martín in Pergamino is preparing for its official inauguration, hosting its first performances ahead of the formal opening. Artist Mora Godoy, who has performed internationally in countries such as China, praised the new venue's technical infrastructure, including its lighting, sound, and dressing rooms. Godoy noted that the theater's high standards allow it to compete with major venues in Buenos Aires and abroad, potentially integrating Pergamino into major touring circuits.

In Mar del Plata, dancer and choreographer Iñaki Urlezaga is scheduled to perform ‘El aplauso final’ at the Teatro Auditorium's Sala Astor Piazzolla. The performance, part of the Buenos Aires Province Cultural Institute's programming, combines classical ballet duets with a new work exploring the emotional themes of an artist's farewell. Urlezaga, a former principal dancer at the Teatro Colón and the Royal Ballet, will perform to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov.
