Cultural developments in Italy feature new art and theater
In Acquapendente, artist Friederike Tabea May is presenting a new exhibition at the Francigena Lab. May, a former set and costume designer, has transitioned into a painterly practice that utilizes raw materials such as volcanic sand from Lake Bolsena, sediments from the Paglia river, and grains from the Salento coast to create textured works.
Separately, the performing arts collectives Collettivo Collegamenti and Asini Bardasci have launched an international production titled ‘HAMLET [or F. O. M. O.]’. Developed under the European TestArt project, the performance explores contemporary identity and the pressure of visibility. The production is scheduled to tour through Ljubljana and Dresden before arriving at the Teatro La Fenice in Senigallia on September 6.
