Cultural events: ‘22 Bahnen’ premiere and library opening in Germany
Cultural events in Germany include the upcoming premiere of the play ‘22 Bahnen’ at the Grabbe-Haus on September 19, 2026. Based on the novel by Caroline Wahl, the story follows Tilda, a mathematics student managing a precarious domestic life involving her alcoholic mother and younger sister.
Additionally, the Springer Stadtbibliothek has moved to new premises in a high-rise building on Bahnhofstraße. To celebrate the relocation of its 31,000 books and electronic media, the library is hosting a reading by authors Ulrike Gerold and Wolfram Hänel. The authors will present excerpts from their new crime novel, ‘Tödlicher Hafen. Kokainküste’ much to the enthusiasm of library director Tibor Maxam.
