Cultural events and closures announced for Illenau and Cologne

Various cultural institutions in Germany have announced upcoming schedules and closures. The Illenau Arkaden Museum and its associated Bistro Café will be closed for operational holidays from August 17 to August 31, 2026.

In Cologne, the September 2026 cultural calendar features the fourth annual ‘SHALOM-MUSIK. KOELN’ festival. Supported by the Cologne Cultural Office, this Jewish music festival uses the theme ‘Listening’ to promote social cohesion and combat antisemitism through diverse musical performances.

Additionally, the production group ‘TUN&LASSEN’ will present a new project in the Kalk district of Cologne. Using dance and objects, the performance explores the complexities of loneliness, inviting passersby to interact and share reflections in public spaces.
