Cultural events and festivals take place in Barcelona neighborhoods

The Sant Andreu neighborhood is hosting a series of theatrical performances. Sant Pacià Teatre is presenting an all-female production of Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’ at the Manyanet Sant Andreu stage, directed by Ignasi Álvarez. The production aims to approach the classic work of the absurd through a gender-neutral lens. Additionally, the Casal Catòlic de Sant Andreu will host the premiere of ‘Una noia com cal, o no’ by Y. Anju.

Meanwhile, the Escena Poblenou festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an interdisciplinary program. The festival includes the ‘Embrions’ program, which features short, 15-minute sketches designed to foster connections between professionals and emerging artists. Many of the festival's twenty proposals are held in public spaces throughout Poblenou to reclaim urban areas for art, including performances by the Cosinsart company and Lasombrada.
