Cultural events and heritage preservation initiatives in Italy

In Capograssi, a district of Serramezzana, a community event is scheduled for August 23, 2026, to raise funds for the structural restoration and consolidation of the historic Sant’Antonio Church. The evening, held in Piazzetta Sant’Antonio, will feature traditional Cilento cuisine, including local sausage sandwiches and fried pizza, to support the preservation of the local religious and historical landmark.

In the Murgia region, the theatre project ‘Fuori dai Mondi’ is hosting a festival at Masseria Sei Carri, located near Castel del Monte. Directed by Giampiero Borgia, the festival aims to bring non-canonical theatrical productions to rural landscapes. The project features four performances designed to explore social memory and engage with the local territory through an itinerant production model.
