Cultural events and outdoor excursions scheduled for September 20 in Italy

Various cultural and outdoor events are scheduled for Sunday, September 20, across different Italian regions.

In the Piemonte region, the ‘Castelli Aperti’ initiative will open several historical residences, castles, and villas to the public. Notable locations include the Torre del Conte Ballada in Castagnole delle Lanze, the Castello di Castelnuovo Calcea, and the Castello di Monastero Bormida, which will offer theatricalized visits with medieval reenactors. Other sites include the Museo Arti e Mestieri di un Tempo in Cisterna d’Asti and the Castello di Rorà.

In the Castelli Romani area, the ‘Castelli Notizie Outdoor’ program will host a narrated trekking excursion titled ‘In cammino tra laghi e miti’. Led by environmental guide Tiziana Ilari, the trek will follow the CAI 511 path through the woods between Lago Albano and Lago di Nemi, focusing on the natural history, archaeology, and local myths of the volcanic lakes.
