Cultural events and parasport awareness programs in Germany and Austria

In Germany, several contemporary music and art events are scheduled. In Bielefeld, the Cooperativa Ensemble will host an interdisciplinary concert night at the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle on October 17, featuring collaborations between digital art, accordion, trombone, live painting, and Butoh dance. Additionally, the duo Les Marquises, consisting of Emilie Škrijelj and Tom Malmendier, is set to perform at the Rabbit Hole Theater in Essen on October 26.

In Austria, para-athlete Elina Stary participated in a LifeLab educational program in Horn. Stary, who has two percent vision and holds multiple Paralympic medals, worked with students to demonstrate the challenges of visual impairment. Through an obstacle course using simulated impairment glasses, students experienced the necessity of communication and trust, guided by Stary and her guide, Stefan Winter.
