Cultural events and theater performances scheduled in Minas Gerais

The city of Betim will host the renowned Grupo Galpão for a presentation of the show “Cabaré Coragem” at the Casa de Cultura Josephina Bento. The performance, which features live music, dance, and elements of Bertolt Brecht's texts, is free to the public. In addition to the show, the group is offering two free workshops at the Teatro Municipal Newton Amaral Franco focused on artistic creation and cultural management.

In Ouro Preto, the community of Bocaina will host the play “Jagy Nak – Sabedoria da Terra.” Inspired by the traditions of the Borum-Kren indigenous people, the production explores themes of ancestry and the relationship between humans and the earth through storytelling and corporal expression. The performance includes Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpretation and is part of a circulation project across Ouro Preto and Mariana.
