Cultural events and wildfire prevention measures announced in Catalonia

The Fabra i Coats creation factory in Sant Andreu will host six major cultural events between September and December 2026. The schedule begins on September 26 with Barcelona Acció Cultural (BAM) concerts, featuring artists María Cielos and Agost. Subsequent events include Mixtur (October), Mozilla Fest (October), Festival 42 (November), DAU (November), and Festivalet (December).

In Corbera de Llobregat, authorities are implementing wildfire prevention measures by expanding perimeter safety strips in four residential areas: La Creu Nova, El Mirador, Los Carsos, and Pontarró. As part of the Metropolitan Forest Management Program led by the Área Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB), these strips will be widened from 25 to up to 50 meters. The project aims to reduce vegetation density and create discontinuities to slow fire spread and improve emergency vehicle access. Work in La Creu Nova and El Mirador is scheduled for 2026, with the remaining areas to be addressed in 2027.
