Cultural events announced in Chile and Guatemala
Various cultural events are scheduled across Latin America. In Chile, the Bafotito folklore ballet will debut its 'Herencia Altiplánica' program at the Temuco Municipal Theater on September 12. The performance features over 70 young musicians and dancers presenting traditional northern dances, including Morenada and Diablada.
Additionally, the Valparaíso Municipal Theater will host a free contemporary circus performance titled 'Bogardus en Busca del Paraíso' on September 12 to celebrate Chilean National Circus Day. The event is organized by the Municipality of Valparaíso and Malabi Circo.
In Guatemala, Fundación Paiz has announced that the Paiz Art Biennial will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027. Mexican curator Cuauhtémoc Medina has been named the lead for the 25th edition, which is scheduled to run from November 2027 to February 2028 in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala.
