Cultural events announced in Mexico and Chile

Cultural events are scheduled in Mexico and Chile focusing on literature and cinema. In Mexico, the Museo de Historia Mexicana and Tecnológico de Monterrey will present ‘Rosario Castellanos. Otro modo de ser’ on August 25. This scenic experience combines poetry, music, and acting to honor the influential 20th-century Mexican intellectual, featuring works such as ‘Lamentación de Dido’ alongside musical pieces by Henry Purcell.

In Chile, researcher Ana Rosas Mantecón will deliver a lecture titled ‘Públicos y exhibición independiente en la era digital: desplazamientos y oportunidades’ at the Cineteca Nacional de Chile on August 26. Part of the 1st Encounter of Independent Film Exhibitors of Chile, the talk will examine the impact of digitalization on audiovisual ecosystems and the role of audience research in Latin American cultural management.
