Cultural events announced in Mexico City and Pamplona

The Museo Panteón de San Fernando in Mexico City will host the first Gothic Week from October 14 to 18. Coordinated by cultural promoter Luis Javier Flores Arvizu, the event aims to highlight four decades of Gothic subculture through conferences, literature, music, dance, and performance. Activities include academic discussions on Gothic art and literature, such as a lecture on the eroticism of the vampire in literature by UNAM professor Paulina Martínez Camacho.

In Pamplona, a series of conferences and the launch of an app will mark the first anniversary of the presentation of the 'Reyes de Occidente' giants. Organized by the Fundación Occidens and the Cathedral Chapter, the October sessions will explore the historical documentation, design symbology, and digital modeling processes used to create the Cathedral's giants. Speakers include historian Alejandro Aranda and conservator Jorge Urdánoz.
