Cultural events announced in Montpellier and Tours

The Festival des Architectures Vives (FAV) has announced a call for applications for its 2027 edition in Montpellier. Scheduled for June 15 to 20, 2027, the festival will focus on the theme of ‘shared happiness’ and will utilize the courtyards of private mansions as experimental sites for contemporary creation and heritage. Ten teams consisting of young professionals in architecture, landscape, and urban planning can apply until December 7, 2026.

Separately, the Tour des résidences 2026 will be hosted by the TALM-Tours School of Art and Design on November 9. Organized by the Arts en Résidence national network, the event aims to help artist-authors better understand the professional landscape of visual arts residencies in France. The program includes a visit to the Atelier Calder and an information session featuring various residency members.
