Cultural events celebrate poetry and literature in Spain

The XVII Festa/Sopar Estellés took place in Gandia, bringing together residents and cultural entities to honor the poet Vicent Andrés Estellés. The event, which included an open-mic poetry recital and a performance by singer-songwriter Andreu Valor, served as a tribute to the author and a defense of the Valencian language.

In Guissona, Joan Buixeda Guitián was awarded the eighth edition of the Jordi Pàmias poetry prize for his work, ‘El silenci dels versos’. The award includes 2,000 euros and publication by Pagès Editors. The jury praised the work for its philosophical character and rhythmic mastery. The ceremony also featured a performance by the vocal group Cor Xera, interpreting musical pieces based on the poems of Jordi Pàmias.
