Cultural events celebrate radio anniversaries in Brazil

Various cultural celebrations are marking milestones for radio stations in Brazil. In the city of Goiás, musician Marcus Biancardini will perform ‘A Viola e Seus Mestres’ at the Cine Teatro São Joaquim to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Rádio Nova Fogaréu. The performance, featuring guitarist Jairo Reis, will showcase 12 rare instruments from Biancardini’s private collection, including pieces once owned by artists such as Tião Carreiro and Renato Andrade.

In São Luís, Maranhão, Rádio Universidade FM is celebrating 40 years of broadcasting with a public event at Feirinha São Luís. The celebration, held in conjunction with the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), will feature musical performances by DJ Laranalua, Alcmena Revival, Raiz Tribal, and Samba Delas SLZ. The event aims to highlight the station's role in public communication and the promotion of local Maranhão culture.
