Cultural events featuring traditional music and dance in Germany

Various regional cultural events are scheduled in Germany, focusing on traditional brass music and folk dance.

The ensemble ‘Original Böhmetaler Blasmusik’, led by Joachim Walter, will host a ‘Bohemian Evening’ on October 24 at the Stadthalle in Walsrode. The performance will feature music in the tradition of Ernst Mosch and the Egerländer style, incorporating both upbeat and melancholic arrangements of Bohemian brass music.

In the Northern Chiemgau region, the Auerbergler Trachtler association recently held Bavarian dance courses in Altenmarkt/Alz. Led by Hildegard Kallmaier, the sessions focused on traditional dances such as the Waltz, Polka, Dreher, and Boarischer, emphasizing proper dance posture and etiquette. These sessions culminated in a community dance event at the local Kirchweih.
