Cultural events held in Mariana and Maringá

Various theatrical productions are being showcased across Brazil. In Mariana, Minas Gerais, the play ‘Pormenor de Ausência’ will be performed at the Cineteatro Municipal de Mariana on October 23. Directed by Ernesto Piccolo and starring Giuseppe Oristanio, the play explores the final years of Brazilian literary figure João Guimarães Rosa, utilizing research from his personal letters and manuscripts to depict his personal conflicts and his pursuit of recognition from the Brazilian Academy of Letters.

In Maringá, Paraná, the 8th edition of the ‘Só em Cena’ cultural showcase concludes on October 18 with the solo performance ‘O motociclista no globo da morte’. Starring Eduardo Moscovis, the production examines themes of societal violence through the story of a rational mathematician. The event is part of a nine-day free program including workshops and exhibitions, supported by the Lei Rouanet.
