Rome hosts Pasolini tribute through art, cinema, and theater

Rome is hosting the second edition of ‘Pasolini Art Visual Territorio’ at Teatro Porta Portese from October 26 to November 2, 2026. The eight-day program commemorates the 51st anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s death through a diverse range of film screenings, theatrical performances, music, and scholarly meetings. The event features works such as the ‘Trilogy of Life’ and documentaries exploring Pasolini’s relationship with figures like Mauro Bolognini.

The initiative, promoted by Roma Capitale, also includes a photographic exhibition titled ‘I luoghi pasoliniani’ (The Pasolinian Places), which showcases images captured during an itinerant photography course. The festival will conclude on November 2 with a collective Requiem.

In addition to the Roman commemorations, a separate exhibition titled ‘Pasolini. Pitture, Paesaggi, Persone’ is running at the Antica Grancia di Serre in Rapolano until January 10, focusing on Pasolini’s lesser-known work as a painter.
