Cultural events in Chile feature poetry anthology launch and book festival

Cultural events are taking place in Chile, including the launch of the poetry anthology ‘Fieras’ and the 15th anniversary of the Primavera del Libro festival.

In Valparaíso, La Escala Galería will host the launch of ‘Fieras’, a collaborative anthology featuring 21 female authors and dissidents from Chile and Costa Rica. Compiled by Lourdes Montenegro, the work is part of the XI edition of Lee Poesía. The event includes a poetic recital and musical performance by Amy Músika, serving as a space for creative resistance.

Meanwhile, the Estación Mapocho will host the Primavera del Libro from October 9 to 11. Organized by the Asociación Editoriales de Chile, the festival features over 100 activities, including book presentations and panel discussions. Notable participants include National Literature Prize winner Cynthia Rimsky and comic artists Malaimagen and Sol Díaz.
