Cultural events in Italy feature mystery and silent film themes

Various cultural events in Italy are scheduled for October 24, focusing on mystery and crime themes.

In Castell’Alfero, the theater in Piazza Castello will host an interactive murder mystery dinner titled “La maledizione del teschio del faraone Amen-Oké.” Organized by the Gli Erranti theater company in collaboration with the Comitato Gatti di Castell’Alfero and the animal welfare association Insieme per i 4 zampe Odv-Ets, the event invites participants to act as investigators. All proceeds from the 25-euro participation fee will be donated to the Comitato Gatti di Castell’Alfero to provide food and veterinary care for local cats.

In Cagliari, the Fondazione Siotto will host a screening of the 1913 silent film “Fantômas – À l'ombre de la guillotine” as part of the tenth edition of “Storie di volti e silenzi.” The screening will feature a live musical accompaniment by singer-songwriter Paolo Capodacqua. The event is part of a series titled “Alle origini del mistero. Detective, criminalità e psiche,” which explores the origins of the thriller, crime, and noir genres in silent cinema. The evening includes a seminar and a themed dinner at the Su Piscosus restaurant.
