Cultural events in Italy feature Vinicio Capossela and emergency architecture

The Festival d’Autunno in Catanzaro will host the regional premiere of ‘E morte non avrà dominio’, a ballad opera by Vinicio Capossela and Pierpaolo Capovilla. Scheduled for October 24 at the Teatro Politeama ‘Mario Foglietti’, the performance features fifteen songs from Capossela’s upcoming 2027 album. The work is a musical adaptation inspired by Dylan Thomas’s ‘Under Milk Wood’ and is dedicated to the memory of DJ Renato Striglia.

In Grisù, an event series running from October 2 to 4 will explore the concept of space through architecture and performance. The program includes a collaboration between the University of Ferrara’s Department of Architecture and Emergency, focusing on modular, portable medical structures designed for humanitarian crises. The event also features theatrical performances, including ‘Pietre’ by Chiara Tarabotti and the Ferrarese premiere of ‘Microclima’ on October 4.
