Cultural events in Milan and Gorizia address cinema and gender violence

The Cineteca Milano is hosting an event dedicated to filmmaker Marina Spada to mark the release of her book, Il codice del volo. The program includes a screening of three of her films: Forza cani, Come l’ombra, and Il mio domani. The event features a dialogue between Spada, journalist Cristina Piccino, and Minnie Ferrara, focusing on the author's career and her reflections on female artists.

In Gorizia, the Fondazione Palazzo del Cinema – Hiša filma is organizing a workshop led by comic artist and activist Francesca Torre on November 25. Held at the Mediateca. GO “Ugo Casiraghi,” the workshop aims to explore the relationship between mass media imagery and gender violence. Participants will use excerpts from the collective comic Fai Rumore to create new visual narratives designed to dismantle stereotypes and address social discomfort through art.
