Cultural events in Portugal feature Queen concert film and Queluz music series

Portugal will host several special cultural events this October, including a rare cinematic screening of Queen’s 1986 Budapest concert. The concert film, restored by Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post Production, will be shown in select IMAX theaters between October 7 and 10. The footage captures the band’s ‘The Magic Tour’ performance, which was attended by approximately 80,000 people.

Additionally, the ‘Noites de Queluz’ music series is returning to the Palácio Nacional de Queluz after a four-year hiatus. Organized by Parques de Sintra, the program features five concerts held between October 8 and 30. The series, which explores three centuries of musical history, has seen high demand, with tickets for several performances nearly sold out. The lineup includes renowned pianist Raúl da Costa, who will perform on an 18th-century Clementi pianoforte.
