Cultural events in Putignano and Rimini draw attention

In Putignano, comedians Emilio Solfrizzi and Antonio Stornaiolo are set to perform “Il cotto e il crudo” at the Teatro Comunale Giovanni Laterza on October 21, 2026. The show, which they also wrote and directed, features a mix of improvisation, satire, and dialogue exploring Puglian identity, politics, and social changes.

Meanwhile, in Rimini, the 23rd edition of the Festa de borg concluded with a pyrotechnic display that sparked significant controversy. While organizers noted the event saw high attendance, many residents and animal welfare advocates protested the fireworks, citing the distress caused to pets. Stefano Tonini of the Società de borg defended the 14-minute western-themed show, noting that fireworks are a common summer occurrence in the region.
