Cultural events in Rio de Janeiro feature new horror films and classic screenings

The psychological horror film ‘Herança de Narcisa’, starring Paolla Oliveira, is set to premiere on Telecine this Wednesday. Directed by Clarissa Appelt and Daniel Dias, the film follows Ana as she returns to her childhood home in Rio de Janeiro following the death of her mother, Narcisa. Upon attempting to sell the property, she discovers an unexpected inheritance.

In Rio de Janeiro, the classic 1922 silent horror film ‘Nosferatu’ will receive special screenings at Sala Cecília Meireles on September 17 and 18. The screenings will feature a live musical score performed by the Quarteto Kalimera, directed by Rafael de Miranda. The repertoire includes works by composers such as Béla Bartók and Louis Spohr, intended to complement the German Expressionist masterpiece.
