Cultural events in San Marino and Pistoia focus on literature and social resistance

In San Marino, the literary series ‘MEMENTI – Mercoledì d’autore’ will host a presentation of the book ‘Il coraggio di chi trema. La mia vita in contropiede’. Co-authored by Italian national team footballer Valentina Giacinti and journalist Alessandro Alciato, the work explores the personal challenges, prejudices, and sacrifices faced by female athletes beyond their professional achievements.

In Pistoia, journalist and author Carmelo Sardo will present his book ‘L’ultima estate di un uomo perbene’ at the Auditorium Terzani. The event focuses on the story of Giuseppe Tragna, who was killed for refusing to submit to the mafia. This initiative is part of the ‘Portatori di Memoria’ project, an educational program aimed at promoting legality and civic responsibility through the memory of mafia victims.
