Cultural events in Venice and Pavia highlight nature and human connection

In Venice, artist Marica Moro will present her new installation, Network, at Spazio Thetis on November 20, 2026. The event coincides with the release of Naturae, a monograph published by Nomos Edizioni that reviews over thirty years of her artistic career. The installation uses organic forms and metallic connections to explore themes of interdependence, solidarity, and the relationship between natural organisms and human society.

In Pavia, writer and teacher Marina Milani is presenting her new novel, Da sopra gli alberi, at Libreria Ubik Il Delfino. The book weaves together two narratives: a botanical painter in 1821 Pavia and a modern botany doctoral student living in a tree in a Tuscan natural park to protect a centuries-old cork oak from being felled. The work explores environmental themes and gender equality through the lens of interconnectedness.
